Need for Volunteers
Every year, Presbyterian Night Shelter relies heavily on the service and commitment of over 4,500 volunteers to assist in serving our homeless guests. As we continue the fight to end homelessness in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, serving over 5,000 guests each year would not be possible without dedicated volunteers. Whether you desire to volunteer as an individual or as part of a group, the impact and gift of your time will forever change the lives of our guests. If you would like to volunteer at the Morris Foundation Family Services Center, there will be a separate form you must complete, as well as a background check ($15 fee). We kindly ask that our volunteers underwrite the cost of the background check.
Our volunteers graciously give their time to many projects, including serving meals, life-skills training, and organizing children playgroups, among others. Please note that shelter staff will make every effort to align the talents and interests of volunteers in a manner that best serves and meets the needs of our guests.
Please be advised during holiday season, our opportunities to volunteer are filled quickly.
