Presbyterian Night Shelter is known for serving the homeless in greatest need: those who have no other places to go.  Those who present the greatest challenge to our community are welcome here. As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, we serve approximately 1,000 men, women and children each night.

Job Summary 

The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operations of the UpSpire Social Enterprise Program. Under the supervision of the VP of Workforce & Career Development, the Director of Operations will; work with both the Recruiting Manager and Operations Managers to identify and place employees and contractors appropriately for all UpSpire contracts, develop and implement best practices across the Operations Department, and work with the UpSpire Recruiting Manager to identify, hire, train, and transition UpSpire employees in accordance with our mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of scheduling, hiring, conflict resolution, and resource management.
  • Effective time management and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekend and early morning shifts
  • Ability to stay late
  • Ability to answer calls outside of office hours including nights and weekends
  • A strong commitment to service others
  • Current Texas Driver's License required.
  • Must provide proof of auto liability insurance.
